Shettima’s journey began at Central Primary School Monguno, where he obtained his First School Leaving Certificate in 2007. He pursued secondary education at Maiduguri Capital School, earning his Secondary School Certificate in 2016. His academic journey led him to the University of Maiduguri, where he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Communication (2016–2021) and currently pursues a Master’s degree in the same field. To complement his expertise, he completed a course titled “Mediactive: How to Participate in Our Digital World” at Arizona State University, USA.

Professional Experience
Shettima has honed his skills as a journalist through his work at various media outlets, including Kanem FM, Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) Maiduguri, and Premium Times Centre for Investigative Journalism (PTCIJ). Currently, he serves as a senior journalist and deputy head of the news department at Radio Ndarason International (RNI), a prominent media organization in Maiduguri.

As the Head of Media and ICT for the MT Monguno Educational Foundation, Shettima plays a crucial role in promoting the foundation’s activities and initiatives. His expertise in journalism and media ensures effective communication of the foundation’s mission to support indigent students and improve education in Northern Borno.
