MT Monguno Educational Foundation Rescued Six Northern Borno from missing this year's WAEC & NECO. Six out of the 40 students who hail from northern Borno that are about missing this year's final year secondary school examination due to financial constraints were rescued by MT Monguno Educational Foundation whom I'm chairing as the pioneer director.
Our attention was drawn by Engr Bashir Bukar Mohammed, a social media activist, advocate for good governance and a patriotic indigene of northern Borno to come to the aid of these students. As a humanitarian foundation with the sole responsibility of catering for the orphans and less privileges and with focus on promoting girl child education, the foundation settled the WAEC and NECO fee of all the six girls immediately in order to participate in the upcoming examination.
The foundation also promised to sponsor their JAMB registration fee as well as secure admission to all of them where they will be opportune to enjoy the tertiary education scholarship from the same foundation. Similarly, the foundation is currently sponsoring more than 100 hundred tertiary institutions students from their 1st year up to their graduation year fully covered. As part of our community development plan, the foundation will soon start sponsoring postgraduate student in various fields of studies from across the ten local government of northern Borno. Hon Baba Goni Abdu chief of staff to the executive chairman of Magumeri and Engr Bashir Bukar hailed the Chief whip of the red chamber for establishing the foundation through which numerous sons and daughters of northern Borno benefited immensely from this gesture.
Our foundation is a catalyst for change in Northern Borno. By focusing on education, we are addressing the root causes of many social issues, from poverty to gender inequality. Our work is driven by the belief that education is the most effective way to empower individuals and transform communities.
